General Responsibilities:

  • To give high quality MSION focused core clinical services in the assigned Clinic of excellence.
  • To uphold Marie Stopes Clinic policies and procedures, principles of responsibilities, and applicable state, federal and local laws.
  • Exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, and co-workers.

  1. Licensing and Compliance Management

The Pharmacy Service Provider will ensure the following before the commencement of pharmacy sales:

 

  • Ensure all regulatory requirement by the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria and all other regulatory agency / trade association requirements are fulfilled and up-to-date at all times
  • Provide licensing compliance management support and work with relevant government institution to fast track process of licensing and monitor expiry of licensing for these pharmaceutical outlets

 

  1. Provide necessary support with facility and stock management, and branding

The Pharmacy Service Provider will support with the following:

  • Infrastructure and equipment management, ensuring that the right infrastructure and equipment necessary for efficient functioning of the pharmacy outlet is in place in constant operational mode
  • S/He will ensure good environment - proper ventilation, sanitary conditions are all in place and in good conditions etc., and in line with acceptable regulatory standards
  • Supervise and manage the Pharmacy inventory system (complete POS bundle) by mastering and utilizing deployed digital solutions.
  • Ensure the pharmacy facility is properly disinfected daily, hand-washing bays put in place and maintenance of social distancing for both customers and staff is kept.

 

  1. Product Procurement and Management

The Pharmacy Service Provider will:

  • Generate comprehensive formulas applicable and advise on a monthly review of this listing as necessary
  • Support with enlisting and coding of all products on point of sale system
  • Ensure procurement of products with NAFDAC registration while ensuring that products with long shelf life and long expiry dates are stocked
  • Develop guidelines based on regulatory standards on procurement of relevant stock, and storage and stock management
  • Supervise pharmacy staff and relevant attendants at pharmacy outlets on right procedures and management of products dates and expiry
  • Set up stock procurement linkages with credit suppliers/distributors to ensure seize-less MOQ is maintained and stock is supplied at the best negotiated rates
  • Ensure all assigned staff possess the required competency level all year round
  • Conducts bi- monthly supportive supervision, coaching and mentoring of all trained staff based on needs
  • Support the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly facility performance reports on training and quality assessment activities in assigned pharmacy

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requisite Skills:

  • Degree in pharmacy with a ground knowledge of healthcare product marketing as relevant
  • Good understanding of the health sector especially in managing chain of pharmacy outlets
  • Must be entrepreneurial with proven abilities to run a business, set priorities and to work collaboratively with persons and groups including organisations in a collaborative way
  • Possess outstanding professional reputation and have strong demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets and provide reasons and solutions for change
  • 2-3 years demonstrated technical knowledge and successful expertise in managing a pharmacy, sales strategies and team coordination
  • Technical Expertise in long acting reversible contraception (LARCs) specifically Implants insertion and removal
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including a robust social engagement skill will be an added advantage
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (particularly Word, Excel and database)
