About the role: 

This role is part of the Marketing and Strategic Communications Team working directly to support improved clientele for the centre channel (MSION Clinics) and with the overall direct responsibility for all demand creation, marketing, and visibility creation of all Marie Stopes Nigeria clinics/medical centres.

S/he will be responsible for the marketing, commercial growth, and overall marketing strategy for clinic/Hospital services across our network of Mini-clinics, Centers, Medical centers and maternity/hospitals.

S/he will lead the drive for incremental clients’ base and expand the geographic span of “patients-pull” to MSION centres with evident growth in client visits.

S/he will lead engagement with cross-functional partners, health care providers and associations to build an expanded referral network for centres, interface with internal and external stakeholders to seal all deals that generate income, social impact and support profitability and sustainability of the centres.

The position will be based in MSION Nigeria support office and will work closely with supporting teams and travel often to back field activities across various centers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Develop strategies and execute action plans to drive client visits and commercial success and sustainability for MSION hospitals ? :
  • Annually conduct a landscape, market, competition, and patients / clients’ needs analysis specific to each of MSION clinics. Use the insights to develop service offerings, marketing plans and strategy to fit the needs and potential of each of the Clinic / Centre.
  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategy/ initiatives/campaigns tailored to each MSION Clinic to successfully sell services that will increase client visits, generate incremental revenue, and maintain existing customer relationships and revisit.
  • Develop and lead all new clinic activation plans and post launch marketing activities.
  • Develop clinic brochures and fliers working with the communications team.

 

  1. Business Development & Operational Efficiency:
  • Work with Centre Channel Lead and team members to evaluate profitability of existing and new service offerings with a view to grow each clinic’s “bouquet of services” for sustainability.
  • Work with the clinic team to identifying specialty practices or consultants who can help increase marketing value for the Clinics.
  • Use market research to identify new service offerings, underserved markets (for geographical expansion), innovative and profitable clinic business models.
  • Lead corporate marketing, collaborations, and consultancy partnership between MSION clinics and private sector healthcare providers (HMOs, Institutions, Hospital Chains etc)
  • Lead implementation of efficient customer service and experience promotions
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining service catalogue / offerings and pricing strategy and clients profiling.

 

  1. Drive digital Marketing Campaigns for the centres with Measurable ROI:
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to design and execute centre specific digital campaigns.
  • Grow MSION Centres digital footprint and positive perception.
  • Develop specific service package content for digital promotion.
  • Develop monthly digital marketing plans, monitor, review, and report on each marketing activity, analyze clinic posts for client engagement insights and results, and share weekly performance report with line managers.
  • Own and manage the marketing budget for the clinics.
  • Work with the digital marketing team to develop and deploy clinic blog posts, videos, email marketing and other related materials for digital promotion and website update.
  • Weekly evidence and insights report using business meaningful analytics metrics.
  • Maintain a solid foundation of customer knowledge and awareness around the client’s journey at MSION centres

 

  1. Support in Design & Implementation of effective youth intervention strategy:

Lead demand creation and marketing activities that will increase appeal for MSION centre services among the youth population working with the youth Work with the Youth Strategy advisor

  • Identify and work with champions in tertiary institutions and youth club to champion visibility for MSION products and services in and around identified tertiary institutions while referring clients to MSION Clinics.
  • Set up youth referral linkages for PAC in MSION Clinics via identified influencers and referral points.
  • Identify and facilitate MSION’s participation at relevant youth events that would grow youth interest in favour of MSION services.

 

  1. Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Set up daily and weekly activity tracking and monitoring tools to track and report activities of Centre marketers and all centre marketing activities.
  • Field Test appropriate marketing contents with the communications and TSD teams for validation before deployment
  • Prepare and submit monthly technical, progress and program monitoring reports to MSION and donors according to schedules and guidelines or as relevant for management decision to line managers.
  • Use routine data from CliC and the Marketing Activities Reporting (MAR) template to target demand generation effort and reach clients better.

 

  1. Others

 

  • From time to time carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager and/or management
  • Willingness to travel within and outside the country as maybe required.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities

KPI

·       Use actionable insights, identify services relevant and specific to each of MSION clinics and develop strategies and execute action plans for commercial success for the Clinics.

·       Propose new service delivery options, partnerships, collaborations etc with agreed result in potential target clinic. Launch new services / relaunch existing services for better outcomes.

 

·       Development and execution all marketing initiatives and campaigns (including direct to clients and social / digital media campaigns)

 

·       Drive youth engagement and use of digital / Social Media and other above-the-line platforms, especially for new launch lifestyle product (condoms).

·       Increase client visits and services uptake for MSION centres. This should translate to Increased incomes and profitability to drive growth and expansions as planned in strategic business plan for the Center Channel.

 

·       Measurable ROI and sustainable Increases in uptakes for at MSION clinics and expansions in partnership with relevant external stakeholders (HMOs, Institutions etc)

 

·       Drive increase in client visits and youth engagement / uptake of services in MSION centres.

·       All activities on support impact to deliver on MSION’s clinics key expectations of Income and Sustainability.

 

·       Grow visibility and brand awareness with youths for MSION centres (consistently grow youth number).

 

·       Drive digital and social media engagements for MSION’s clinics

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requisite Skills:

  • BSc/BA Degree in communication, Arts, marketing and related field; MA/MSc in these areas would be an added advantage
  • Proven abilities to set priorities, to multi-task, and to work collaboratively across technical disciplines
  • Possess outstanding professional reputation and have strong demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets and provide reasons and solutions for change
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Good computer skills (particularly Word, Excel and database)
  • Technical expertise in the area of demand creation/marketing, social marketing, reproductive health, maternal, HIV and/or child health preferred

 

Experience:

  • A trained service marketing with a good knowledge on marketing chain business especially in healthcare and/or hospitals.
  • Have relevant experience in similar position especially with direct client marketing
  • Possess high level representation and strong presentation skills
  • Good experience in work with A&P budgeting and working with agencies in healthcare or hospital network client marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate closely with government staff, effectively manages their expectations, and builds capacity
