About the role:

This role is part of the Integrated Marketing Communications Team working directly to support improved clientele for the commercial division of centre channel (MSION Clinic) and with the overall direct responsibility for all demand creation and visibility creation of our various clinics.

S/he will be responsible for the marketing, commercial growth and overall marketing strategy for Service deliveries in MSION Clinics.

S/he will support the centres’ management, service providers and mobilization / SBBC team to drive incremental clients base and expand the geographic span of “patients-pull” to MSION centres with evident positive growth in client visits.

S/he will, as well, engage with cross-functional partners, health care providers and associations to ensure successful implementation of programs and projects. Interface with internal and external stakeholders to close projects that generate incremental revenue, social impact and support increased profitability of the centres.

The post holder is required to demonstrate initiative; energy; persistence; results orientation; drive; integrity and discretion; enthusiasm; and commitment to personal development in the excellent delivery of work against these responsibilities. 

The position will be based in Integrated Marketing and Communication directorate of MSION’s Abuja, Nigeria support office and will work closely with supporting teams and travel often to back field activities across various centers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

A: Develop strategies and execute action plans to drive client visits and commercial success and sustainability for MSION clinics:

  1. Analyze and understand the healthcare service delivery landscape, market, competition, and patients / clients needs specific to each of MSION clinics. Leverage the insight / knowledge to develop a strategy and service offerings to fit the needs and potential of each of the Clinic / Centre.
  2. Develop blue print, map and execute marketing initiatives and campaigns to help each MSION Clinic promote specific and identified service-deliveries relevant to successfully sell services that will increase client visits, generate incremental revenue and maintain existing customer relationships.

   III.   Support healthcare services launch / relaunch readiness with full involvement of all stakeholders / team members, to ensure service offerings are defined prior to launch and are aligned to MSION & MSI standards

B: Business Development & Operational Efficiency:

  1. Work with Centre Channel Lead and team members to evaluate profitability of existing and new service offerings with a view to grow each clinic’s “bouquet of services” for sustainability. and identifying specialty practices or consultants who can help increase marketing value for the Clinics.
  2. Through market research and RME support, identify new service offerings, underserved markets (for geographical expansions of coverage with mobilizers), business models, process improvements, go-to market strategies that are supported by data and can be sustained operationally
  3. III. Identify possible collaborations and consultancy partnership between MSION clinics and  private sector healthcare providers (HMOs, Institutions, Hospital Chains etc)
  4. Identify and review voucher offers / trade-offs, actively seek out alternate solutions to ensure profitability for the clinics.
  5. Responsible for creating and maintaining service catalogue / offerings and pricing strategy and clients profiling.
  6. Harnessing A & I-V above to grow network of MSION centres from profitable and sustainable three (3) centres to six (6) centres by 2020.

C: Drive all Marketing Campaigns and application of digital and on-line media with Measurable ROI:

  1. Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results and share with management
  2. Own and manage the marketing budget for the clinics
  3. III. Agree with management and deliver all marketing activities within agreed budget
  4. Liaise with media and advertising agencies to develop and effectively manage the social media platforms that will increase client base and encourage client retention for MSION clinics.
  5. Purview will include designing hospital brochures, newsletters, and supporting agencies on posting and editing content on MSION clinics’ website.
  6. Be versed with various online and social media marketing options and utilize same to promote brand and to drive patronage.
  7. VII.  Prepare a variety of promotional, information and educational materials including articles, blog posts, bulletins, pamphlets, video and other related media material as well as ensuring MSION visibility in all communities of intervention.
  8. VIII. Different platforms (print, social media, website, spoken word, media campaigns etc.) tested for ROI and impact

D: Support in Design & Implementation of effective youth intervention strategy:

Work with the Youth Strategy advisor to identify and work with tertiary institutions club that would champion MSION core values to create visibility for MSION products and services in and around identified tertiary institutions while referring clients to MSION Clinics

  1. Set up youth referral linkages for PAC in MSION Clinics via identified influencers in other healthcare delivery facilities at various levels including tertiary institutions
  2. Identify and ensure the reach and involvement of MSION in Social Media, radio and television talk shows that are of interest to youths.

E: Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation

  1. Set up activity tracking and monitoring tools to track and report activities of Centre Community Based Mobilizers with relevant tools
  2. II.Test run communication material in conjunction with the RM&E unit before finalization and deployment for general population use or a target population as the case may be
  3. III. Prepare and submit regular technical, progress and program monitoring reports to MSION and donors according to schedules and guidelines or as relevant for management decision to line managers
  4. Use routine data from CliC and the Marketing Activities Reporting (MAR) template to target demand generation effort and reach clients better

F: Others:

  1. From time to time carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by the line manager and/or management
  2. Willingness to travel within and outside the country as maybe required.

KPI

Use actionable insights, identify services relevant and specific to each of MSION clinics and develop strategies and execute action plans for commercial success for the Clinics

 

 

Propose new service delivery options, partnerships, collaborations etc with agreed result in potential target clinic. Launch new services / relaunch existing services for better outcomes

 

Development and execution all marketing initiatives and campaigns (including direct to clients and social / digital media campaigns)

 

Drive youth engagement and use of digital / Social Media and other above-the-line platforms , especially for new launch life style product (condoms).

 

 

Increase client visits and services uptake for MSION centres. This should translate to Increased incomes and profitability to drive growth and expansions as planned in strategic business plan for the Center Channel.

 

Measurable ROI and sustainable Increases in uptakes for at MSION clinics and expansions in partnership with relevant external stakeholders (HMOs, Institutions etc)

 

Drive increase in client visits and youth engagement / uptake of services in MSION centres.

All activities on support impact to deliver on MSION’s clinics key expectations of Income and Sustainability

 

Grow visibility and brand awareness with youths for MSION centres (consistently grow youth number).

 

Drive digital and social media engagements for MSION’s clinics

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requisite Skills:

  • BSc/BA Degree in communication, Arts, marketing and related field; MA/MSc in these areas would be an added advantage
  • Proven abilities to set priorities, to multi-task, and to work collaboratively across technical disciplines
  • Possess outstanding professional reputation and have strong demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets and provide reasons and solutions for change
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Good computer skills (particularly Word, Excel and database)
  • Technical expertise in the area of demand creation/marketing, social marketing, reproductive health, maternal, HIV and/or child health preferred

Experience:

  • Have relevant experience in similar position.
  • Possess high level representation and strong presentation skills
  • Relevant experience in planning of advocacy campaigns and designing, planning, and implementing SBCC efforts and/or community level activities, including communication campaigns and trainings will be added advantage
  • Familiarity and understanding of USAID policies and procedures (highly preferred), or those of other donors, donor funded projects, community- based projects, or corporate social responsibility projects will be added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate closely with government staff, effectively manages their expectations, and builds capacity
