About the role:

This role is part of the Marketing and Strategic Communications Team working directly to support efficient and effective marketing and communications activities, strengthen accountability, improved partnerships, policy visibility, youth engagement and stakeholder mobilization.  

S/he deliver aesthetic, digital/offline media creative designs; interpret the corporate brand and digital marketing needs of the organisation.

S/he must be able to creatively interpret digital marketing concepts/briefs and translate them into compelling designs. As well as ensure consistency of brand by using appropriate brand colours in designs

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Possess a creative mind
  2. Be able to deliver aesthetic, digital/offline media creative designs
  3. Be able to interpret the corporate brand and digital marketing needs of the organisation
  4. Be able to create motion graphics
  5. Be able to creatively interpret digital marketing concepts/briefs and translate them into compelling designs
  6. Be able to creatively ensure consistency of brand by using appropriate brand colours in designs
  7. Be a skilled user of basic desktop design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Corel Draw).

 

Deliverables

  1. At least 5 graphic designs (still or motion graphics – this is dependent on the content) for weekly posts on social media platform
  2. Quarterly newsletter design
  3. Monthly special social media ad design
  4. Designs for relevant International days/commemorations and new months
  5. Designs for tweet chat questions
  6. Designs for events that we support
  7. Other designs for MSION digital campaigns
  8. Designs for MSION corporate branding

NOTE: Most of these design ideas will be shared ahead of time, but there are some occasions that the designer will have to deliver on short notice.

 

  1. Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation
    1. Prepare and submit monthly technical, progress reports to MSION according to schedules and guidelines or as relevant for management decision to line managers

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requisite Skills:

  • BSc/BA Degree in any relevant discipline.
  • Be a skilled user of basic desktop design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Corel Draw).
  • Proven abilities to set priorities, to multi-task, and to work collaboratively across technical disciplines
  • Possess outstanding professional reputation and have strong demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets and provide reasons and solutions for change
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Good computer skills (particularly Word, Excel and database)
  • Technical expertise in the area of advocacy, demand creation/marketing, social marketing, reproductive health, maternal, HIV and/or child health preferred

Experience:

  • Have relevant experience in similar position.
  • Possess high level digital content creation skills and experience
  • Relevant experience in corporate branding and digital marketing

Skills:

  • Proven excellent technical oral, written, and editing abilities
  • Ability to present and write for multiple audiences
