We are looking for a creative, dynamic and result oriented Digital Marketing Manager to develop, implement, track, and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. The right candidate must possess a strong understanding of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

The Digital Marketing Manager/Coordinator) will work with the Marketing and Strategic Communications and Channel Operation Teams of Marie Stopes International Organisation Nigeria (MSION) to drive customer growth through the new media channels and maintain a strong and competitive online presence and brand equity for MSION. The role holder will plan digital marketing campaigns, maintain our social media presence across all digital channels, and measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.

The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of our digital marketing operations with the central goal being focused on growing MSION’s brand influence and increasing brand awareness and loyalty. S/he will work closely with the Contact Centre Coordinator, Demand Creation Leads, and Channel Leads, in the development of digital Demand Creation Strategies, design and development of effective digital marketing materials that provide excellent information in appropriate format, that promote MSION’s Brand and boosts client numbers using a broad range of electronic and new media channels tested for ROI and impact. This will include clear communication to the whole team on progress against strategy and lessons learned.


Key Responsibilities


Digital Marketing and  Advertising  

  • Lead design, implementation, and management of MSION’s digital marketing/advertising activities including building a robust digital marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Develop and monitor campaign budgets, provide timely reporting on all campaigns and performance.
  • Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results.
  • Track of latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.
  • Regularly evaluate all metrics that impact MSION website traffic, client behaviour, service quotas, and target audience.
  • Coordinate brainstorming sessions on new and innovative growth strategies.
  • Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects.


Digital Platform Management and brand presence building

  • Coordinate effective and efficient management of MSION digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, MSION Website, etc
  • Lead development/writing of creative and eliciting channel appropriate contents for blogs, website, newsletter, social media etc.
  • Manage a team of writers, illustrators, and data analysts.
  • Drive traffic and engagement that translates to sales (product and services) and brand promotion as well as develop and manage content creation budget
  • Expand and sustain a solid online presence for MSION.
  • Strengthen MSION brand awareness, track all brand activities and risks and report on same with mitigation strategies.
  • Managing our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement/service.
  • Coach and mentor team members  on content creation best practices.

Tracking results

  • Develop specific measures (Key performance indicators) for tracking results against all marketing activities to determine result on investment as well as inform future marketing campaigns/decisions.
  • Implement SEO/SEM best practices.

General Cross Cutting Duties

  • Excellent capacity to optimize customer growth funnel and pipeline, including d strategies for reaching these customers, to drive conversion
  • Analyse competitor brands and suggest creative ways to grow customer base
  • Maintain a Calendar of commemorative e days in the health industry and strategy to maximise such days using digital platforms for brand awareness and visibility
  • Admin level management, measurement, and reporting responsibilities with tools like, CMS, marketing automation and attribution modelling

  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head, Marketing and Communications and/or management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a digital marketing and  advertising position.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
  • Highly creative with verifiable experience in content writing
  • Experience in commercial business (product/service) brand promotion will be an added advantage
  • Candidate must be result oriented
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Umbraco is required.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be up to date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
  • Experience developing social media strategies across multiple platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter etc.) and associated tools and analytics
  • Data driven and strong analytical and reporting capabilities – this means pulling data from disparate sources into Excel or SQL and turning data into actionable information
  • A working knowledge of web development, management, and practical experience with online community building
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
